THE WHY

When international restaurant group D&D London began
work on their latest project ‘Duke’, we were appointed to create
a brand that would treat customers to a slice of London,
via the prestigious Trump Towers, set in the heart of Istanbul.

THE HOW

Combining a sense of contemporary
London with a twist of Istanbul and dash of
glamour, we set about creating a brand inspired
by the nobility and regal nature assumed
of a Duke. A unique crest was designed to
encapsulate the brand; something that upon
closer inspection isn’t at all stuffy or old
worldly but instead eclectic, diverse and
witty. (A little self-deprecating British
humour can go a long way.)

THE NOW

Engraver Christopher Wormell was
commissioned to hand carve the crest and
accompanying ‘Duke’ icons, while the
typography is quintessentially British.

Colour choices were inspired by Studio
Conran’s interior direction to create a
uniformed solution that’s been applied across
every touch-point. From marble exterior
signage to silver napkin rings, the Duke has
found a home to call his own.
